Collaborate works with service providers across campus to promote the effective use of technologies in support of instruction. Our focus is on coordinating and enhancing the use of online tools and materials, computer-based instructional labs, classroom presentation and interaction tools, and online student support services in support of teaching and learning.
What is the Collaborate Tech Fee?
The Tech Fee, formally called the Instructional Technology Enhancement Initiative Course Materials Fee, supports instructional technology support and enhancements via Collaborate services.
The fee provides and supports modern technology for instruction and learning, and funds services like the UCSB Learning Management Systems (Canvas), Academic Advising Applications, cloud storage, computer-based instructional labs, classroom presentation and interaction tools, and student services like our Mobile Application, Bridge.
Starting in Fall 2024 the UCSB Tech Fee is now $50.80 per quarter for all students at all colleges, including post graduate students.
