PrintSpot Printing Services

PrintSpot Printing Services

Sustainable printing for instructional needs.

Collaborate PrintSpot Logo

Collaborate PrintSpot is a student printing service that is accessible, sustainable, and easy to use.

The PrintSpot service promotes the conservation of both printing resources and power, helping to make UCSB a more sustainable campus. All of the PrintSpot printers use 100 percent post-consumer content paper and feature standard double-sided printing. Additionally, the printers are set to power save mode at low usage times throughout the day.

With centralized printing locations in multiple buildings on campus, Collaborate PrintSpot conveniently offers students the ability to print, study, and get technical assistance. Additionally, consolidating printing resources allows us to subsidize the costs of basic instructional printing needs.

How it Works:

Enrolled students are allotted 200 black-and-white prints per quarter to use for their academic printing needs at any of the three PrintSpot locations. PrintSpot does not have the ability to charge for excess printing, but those services exist through fee-based services on-campus including the Library print service or UCen Alternative Digital Printing.
